CTET 2021 Latest News: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an official notification informing the public about the mode of the CTET 2021 December exam.

The CBSE has said that the CTET 2021 pattern would be new as well.

Is the CTET exam online or offline?

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is undergoing significant modifications for December 2021/January 2022 exam. 

CTET 2021 Exam is going to be online in December 2021/January 2022. i.e, the upcoming CTET 2021 December 2021/January 2022 exam will be conducted online.

Changes to the CBSE Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) are being made in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

According to the CBSE board, a provision has been incorporated in the NEP to avoid rote learning.

Instead of testing applicants’ factual knowledge, the CTET curriculum and questions will now assess critical thinking, problem-solving, reasoning, conceptual comprehension, and application knowledge.

For applicants to grasp the new CTET format, CBSE will also offer new sample papers and blueprints.

These CTET Facilitation Centers will offer the opportunity to take a CET online mock test completely free of cost.

Can we give CTET without BED? 

Yes, you can take the CTET entrance exam even if you don’t have a B. Ed. degree.

Applicants for the CTET entrance examination must have finished their graduation with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised university.

However, if you are going to apply for KVS and other central schools you will be required to show a BED degree and a valid CTET scorecard.

A good score in CTET/ passing marks of CTET varies according to categories.

FOR SC/ST/OBC qualifying marks is 82.5, whereas for General/ EWS category qualifying marks is 90 or as described by the board.

However, Aspirants who get an aggregate score of 60 or above will be considered eligible for the CTET exam.

Which is better CTET or TET?

Candidates who pass the CTET would be able to work at central government-run institutions such as Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyala and others. 

Meanwhile, the student’s TET results will allow him or her to be accepted into one of the state government-run schools in that state.

TET exam is considered comparatively easier than CTET exams. 

Also, the level of competition is also lower than CTET.

It is generally higher than Age Criteria for CTET.

That means you will get more attempts in TET than CTET.

The pay scale for CTET/TET  trained teachers varies from INR 9300 to INR 34800.

A CTET-certified PRT instructor would be paid in the range of INR 35000-37000.

A primary school teacher will be paid between INR 43000 and 46000, while a PGT teacher would be paid between INR 48000 and 50000.

It should be noted that there are NO such differences in the pay scale/salary structure of a CTET qualified teacher and a TET qualified teacher.

The CBSE announced that the CTET certificate is now valid for a lifetime, up from seven years previously.
